1) No repeats. it has to be something different every day.
2) It doesn't have to necessarily be big--a $5 contribution to a charity counts. But it DOES need to be done with the intent of actually improving the world. Something self-gratifying that has ancillary benefits to others does NOT count.
3) I'm actually going to keep up with it, goddamn it. No skipped days. The goal is to make goodness and consideration a habit.
